Dear Rising Grades 5, 6, 7, & 8 Families,
As the bittersweet time of our year’s end approaches, I am pleased to present the 2024 Summer Reading recommendations for students entering grades 5 - 8 in the fall. All rising grade 5 - 8 students are requested to read at least five books over the summer and to present a list of the books they have read to their English teachers in the fall. One of the five books is assigned by the English Department, which can be found in the second tab of this libguide.
These lists contain suggestions for books you may enjoy, but I encourage you to spend some time this summer exploring library and book store shelves for new books that awaken in you a passion for reading.
