Anti-Racism Resources: Home

undefined

Welcome

Welcome to Trinity School Libraries' collection of anti-racism resources.

There is so much going on in the world right now, and we are all overwhelmed with the amount of information coming at us. This page is meant to help guide you through choosing reliable sources of information, evaluating and processing that information, and acting to use that information in ways that benefit us all.  These resources span a wide range of understanding to help those in different stages of their anti-racism work.

This space is aimed at white members of our community.  I (Ms. Martin) attended a weird, little, liberal arts college that didn't give grades. One of the core principles of my alma mater is that, "In the final analysis, each person is responsible for their own education." That is true for all of us white people; we have the responsibility to educate ourselves and other white people in our community about racial justice and equity.

Our libraries’ mission statement says that “Our goal is to equip students to be effective and ethical creators and consumers of media and information, able to develop and satisfy their curiosity by being critical thinkers, skillful researchers, and enthusiastic readers.” Now, more than ever, it is vital that our whole community be equipped with these skills so that we can have the hard conversations and make the changes we want to see in the world.

Please note that, like all of us, this space is a work in progress. New resources will be added. If you have a resource to recommend, please share it with us!
